Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Ocellus Labs website (ocelluslabs.online) handles and why. Our projects – such as Dungeon Online and Ocellus Distro (Veyra) – run as separate apps and may have their own policies.
Browsing this site
We don't use advertising trackers or tracking cookies, and there are no accounts to sign up for. In your own browser, the site remembers your theme choice (dark or light), whether you've already seen the intro, and a random visit number (explained below), for the current visit only. Two small notes stay longer: your choice in the privacy box (‘OK’ or ‘Don't track’), and whether you are browsing from India, so prices show in the right currency. To load faster and keep working on a weak connection, your browser also keeps a saved copy of the site's pages and images; it refreshes when we update the site and is cleared after 7 days. None of this identifies you.
We do count visits. When a page loads, our server notes the page, the time, your browser type and screen width, and your approximate location (city, region, country and network provider), which it looks up from your IP address through the ip-api.com location service. It also notes how long a page was on screen, how far you scrolled, which sections came into view and which links or buttons you clicked (never what you type), unless you choose ‘Don't track’ in the small privacy box; then only the page visit itself is counted. Your choice is saved in your browser and the box does not come back. Our fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page sends nothing to Google. A random visit number, kept only in your browser tab and gone when you close it, links the pages of one visit together; it is not a cookie and can't identify you. We don't store your IP address: only a shortened form is kept. The server holds these records in its working memory and clears them at least weekly and every time it restarts; we keep a private copy for our own reference. We use them only to see how many people visit, roughly where from, and how the site is used, and we never sell or share them.
Like any website, our hosting provider processes basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send – your name, email address and message. We use it only to reply to you and, where relevant, to discuss or carry out work with you. We don't add you to mailing lists.
Order and enquiry forms
When you send an order or enquiry form on our pricing or services pages, we save what you type in it: your name and location, your WhatsApp number or email, and any business details and message you add, together with the item you asked about, the page and the time, and your internet address with its last part removed. It is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase), and a copy is emailed to us through our email provider (Brevo), so we can reply and quote. Only we can read it, and we use it only to answer you and, if you go ahead, to do the work. We don't add you to mailing lists. Ask us at kt@ocelluslabs.online and we will delete it.
Services & Advisory clients
When we research or advise a business, project or startup, information you share with us is treated as confidential. We use it only for that engagement, don't sell it, and keep it only as long as the engagement and our records reasonably require. Any further confidentiality terms are set out in the engagement's written agreement.
Payments
Payments for our services will be processed by Razorpay (online payments are being set up and are not live yet). We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details – Razorpay handles those under its own privacy policy. We keep only the payment reference, amount, date and status for our accounts.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the services needed to run this site and process payments (our hosting provider, Supabase for the forms, and Razorpay), or where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing kt@ocelluslabs.online.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version always lives on this page, with its date at the top.
