TheDungeon
- Made by
- ThePug — the only one building it right now
- Purpose
- A game — an online dungeon survival challenge with real rewards
- Status
- Pre-registration — sign up and make your character; the dungeon opens at launch
It's an online adventure and survival challenge, inspired by the theme of dungeons. Below the surface lies a procedurally generated 3D ant-hill-based maze — tunnels that twist in every direction, and a layout no one will walk twice. The task is simple: survive and escape the dungeon in a single run.
Rooms of every size wait along the way, and some of them hold bosses. There is loot to be found by those who look, and an in-game economy to live by.
The free and paid versions are the same game — the one difference is the prize: paid runs hand out cash rewards (an online transfer of funds).
Best effort has gone into making this challenge hardcore enough for the thrill, and light enough to enjoy.
A lot of unique events and factors exist in this world — even the dev can't predict all of them.
A full list will be rolled out soon.
Planned release · v2
The dungeon will grow into floors — 10 to begin with, and possibly 15 or 20 depending on future plans. Each floor is its own world to explore; defeat its floor boss to move on to the next.
Floor One is a 15 by 15 km map with distinct areas, lore, and realism (graphics are something we'll keep improving over time). It may be desktop/laptop only, as a downloadable map.
There is no signposted door to it. The way across to Floor One is somewhere in the dungeon, and you will have to find it yourself.
Per-floor completion rewards are being considered (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place only).
⚠ Know before you dive in
- What that costs, you will learn on your first death. Your lives are important — don't waste them.
- Escaping the dungeon in a single run will be rewarded to the player, in real life.
- The reward is tied to the game's overall success (TBA) — a cash prize is possible, since that's easiest to hand out.
- Whether every player who completes the challenge in a single run will be eligible for the reward, or only the top 3, hasn't been decided yet.
- Any reward will require a full screen recording of the run as proof before it's paid out — no recording, no payout.
- A single run means entering and escaping with the same character. Using a different character marks the start of a new run. (Mercy has been shown here, so everyone rides the same boat.)
- There's no tutorial. This is the full game as envisioned, not a softened version — though an easier starting area has been designed so you won't die right at spawn, giving you time to learn.
- Your class is defined by your actions.

Ocellus Distro (Veyra)
- Made by
- ThePug (Ocellus distro), in partnership with two people from two other orgs — one of them owns Veyra. Eco-Svg built the Eco-Svg distro; CatalystCrew is the third.
- Purpose
- An experimental build for the company Veyra: one web application that hosts several "distros" — like operating systems — on a shared login, database and backend
- Status
- Development complete, handed back over to Veyra
Ocellus is the flagship distro: habits and notes, verified skill ranks, a community feed with DMs, an in-app wallet called Eyes with escrowed marketplace payments, a calendar, and 16 languages. It installs as an app on phone and desktop.
The smartest part is BlinkBot — a small 1.5-billion-parameter model we fine-tuned ourselves that runs inside the user's browser, not on a server. Just talk to it ("ran 5 km today") and it ticks the right habit, writes the note or logs the achievement. Getting a real language model to run fast on an ordinary laptop took real tricks:
- Zero server cost per chat — the model runs on the user's own device, so it's private and never needs a GPU server
- Multi-threaded in the browser — the page is set up so the model can use every CPU core, not just one
- Remembers its instructions — the setup prompt is cached after the first message, so every reply after that starts faster
- Forgiving by design — it matches loosely worded habits and amounts, and the server double-checks every action it takes
- Cloud fallback — devices too weak to run it get the same features from a cloud model instead
